Schiphol streaming webcam on RWY 06 - 24

Post by Andries »

Just found this link to a streaming webcam on RWY 06 - 24 at AMS, Schiphol.
http://www.home.zonnet.nl/rdeckert/webcam.html

You can choose small, medium and large format for the streaming video. The problem is that I don't get to see any video. I just hear them talking, but that's it ... :(

Does anyone of you have difficulties ?

I have the same problem.
It looks like the cam required some kind of a plugin to run correctly.
But I'll keep on trying to see if I can get the cam running.

Best Regards,
Yvo

You are wright Yvo, you need a plugin. If you wait long enoughy, your internet Explorer will ask you if you want to install the plugin.
I just did it and now it works perfectly ...

Too bad they aren't using RWY 06 - 24 now ...

You need to wait a while, then they ask you to install a plugin. It can be that your Norton Firewall blocks the page but I don't know how to fix that. Anyway Andries, thanks for giving the link!

Andries,

Can you maybe tell us wich plugin you need to install in order to get the livestream because I don't get prompted for it.
I think it's blocked somewhere in my network.

Best Regards,
Yvo

Sorry Yvo, I can't remember the name ...
Did you wait long enough ? It could take up to 15 minutes. I was listening for about 15 minutes when it was prompted ...

Just watched it for about 20 minutes and I must say, it's not quite worth it. The webcam actually is a securitycam for a parking. You can sometimes see an airplane flash by in the upper right corner, but it's very hard to recognise them ... You'll only see the heavies, cause the smaller aircraft are allready to high for the webcam ...

Shame ...

Had hoped to see AMS more often with this webcam ... :(
