Many thanks.
Brussels Airlines has three Avro RJ's left: OO-DWC, OO-DWD and OO-DWE.

crew1990 wrote: 11 Jun 2017, 23:27 But don't you think that one of the reasons they want to get rid of those Q400 are maybe to harmonise the regional wet lease fleet? So it would be strange if they replace the Q400 by CRJ900?

If they go for the SSJ100 of cityjet, this would mean that there would be in total 5 SSJ100 leased from them?
To me, it's clear from the start CityJet is to become Brussels Airlines' main wet-lease partner. A substantial fleet of 6 SSJ100 is realistic, once Flybe's Q400's and bmi E145's have left when end of contract.

SSJ100's can also become a part of Brussels Airlines Leisure (operating for Thomas Cook) to destinations where Airbus equipment might be too much of capacity. Something similar to TUI's set-up. Q400's and E145's are not really leisure oriented aircraft.

PS: I hope Brussels Airlines will resume flights to Helsinki and Riga one day!

Riga will be expanded by BT on their CS3 or 737 now and then + it's in codeshare with SN as well as some SN destinations are codeshared with BT and HEL.. ehm Finnair already has the full market and all available flights to and from HEL. Blue1 didn't survive either to maintain the route :(

SN has codeshare flights to HEL. Operated by LH via FRA....

But who will take such flights when direct flights are available with Finnair?

exactly, who would fly over FRA with a couple of transit hours if you can fly direct from BRU

Has the CityJet SSJ contract already been expanded with a fourth aircraft? Because checking fr24, it appears all three SSJ's in SN colors, plus EI-FWC have all been flying pretty full schedules in the past week.

I saw yesterday also a CityJet Avro departing Brussels. So they are probably flying 5 aircrafts in Brussels.

There were two simultaneous CityJet Avro RJ85s in Brussels yesterday morning, for charter flights to Stockholm. Nothing to do with SN operations.

Normally there are currently 3 'FTE's to call it that way, a 4th in back-up at BRU. But they frequently rotate it seems.

From what one can see on FR24, SN is still flying its Avros to Bromma. Any delay in SSJ100's certification for that airport?

according to Brussels Airlines booking engine one flight will still be operated by the RJ while the others will be operated by WX as from July, wait and see if it will be a SU9 or an RJ85 from WX :)

As long as they have their "own" RJ100 available, how could they justify subcontracting to WX using RJ85?

I think it is more a case that WX is coming up with a back-up plan(e) because they can not deliver on the route subcontracted to them.

Flight SN2304 from Stockholm to Brussels

Am I wrong? The first SSJ flight on the Bromma-route?
