Returning on a jumpseat wouldn't be necessarily a real example as you say, it happen often that airlines have some seat available on their flight and still can't take the stand by passenger because of weight restriction if there is lot of cargo. Like it's probably the case in India
Seriously? 80kg of fuel in BOM is less than 1 minute of extra fuel on arrival in BRU.

Informations about the filling rate of BOM and Erevan or Yerevan ?
I feel that Yerevan is walking very hard (not easy to find an eco place) and Mumbai seems to be walking very hard too in the way INDIA Brussels...

working very hard, in french we say walking

Regarding Bernard Gustin at the press conference last week in Mumbai,
BRU-BOM: 65% load factor
BOM-BRU: 85% load factor

Hi all,

Tomorrow or at the end of the week we will know the absolute figures for the month of April. We then can calculate the exact LF :D (assuming they always flew the A332).

Cheers,
Danny

I don't know how many, but SFX definitely operated several BOM flights ;)

SFX operated 9 (out of 21) flights in April.

Lufthansa group traffic figures are published on the 7th working day of each month.

Saw SFX operating quite some flights indeed: is this an indication of a route which is performing above expectations? If I'm not mistaken it's the one with the highest capacity what concerns payload restrictions?

Many of the old birds struggle to fly non-stop BOM-BRU with a prevailing headwind.
SFX is quite young and has a higher Max TOW, hence it is a preferred aircraft for the route.

Taking that into account, the 7916 pax of April represent a lf of 69.8%.

And KL enters the BOM market again after 16 yrs absence.
Starting with 3 wkly B789 end of oct.
That makes 10 wkly flights (with 9W) this automn, expect twice daily in the coming year ?

It looks like KLM wants to better control its 6th freedom passenger flows ;)

Knowing that AI is expanding its european network by the launch of a new direct route from its Delhi (*) hub to Stockholm * hub from August 15th, thrice a week with a 788 dreamliner.

If BRU - DEL is launched : AI or SN ?
Could AI launch the DEL - BRU route, using own metal in the future ? And of course, codesharing with SN. Knowing that SN could enter the DEL market if BOM is confirmed to be profitable in the next 2/3 years.
Cheers

I would rather see AI to start this route. Would love to see SN to start Chennai or Bangalore because of the high-tech links and opportunities. 3 or 4 times per week.

Yes, hope India will become a strong market for SN. So, the (re)opening of a DEL route is just a matter of time.
High on both AI and SN wish list ?

Another time : did Sabena perform well on its Chennai route around the year 2000 ? It has been said that Swissair left MAA to Sabena so it could keep the monopoly on BOM and DEL routes.

How did Sabena performed with Brussels - Chennai route in the past? Was it a profitable route? I remember the days when i was living in Chennai, Sabena used to arrive there during night. It was a Three weekly flights onboard A330.
