Two years ago, VTM Royalty investigated this. Result: the Belgian flag was horizontal:

Only a test flight in HEL, or leaving Finland to another destination?

Apart from the fleet, is there anything new under the sun regarding Air Belgium? What about traffic rights, license, destinations...?

On Tuesday 11th April 2017, OH-LQE = one of the four Finnair A340's mentionned on Airfleets.net as future Air Belgium aircraft, flew from Helsinki to MLA/Luqa/Malta:

Air Belgium has just released the movie of the award ceremony for the uniform contest. Luchtzak.be was present and you might recognise one of its editors ;)

I've got this idea a few hours earlier than you but not writed :/
So, OH-LQE is good,because that A340 have less than 10 years,so that's a good thing.
I verified all the others A340 of Finnair and all others A340 have 10 years or +...

Greetings,
Thibault

There's the airlfleet link : http://www.airfleets.net/flottecie/Finn ... sndesc.htm

After a quick verification on fgov website;
Availible :
OO-ABA,OO-ABB,OO-ABD,OO-ABE,OO-ABF
Not availible :
OO-ABC

So,Air Belgium can use OO-AJ* as reg. in this case due to OO-ABC ?

Thibault

Why do you say that they can use an OO-AJ registration? On their scale model at their presentation and all their pictures they released so far, the reg was OO-ABA so probably they'll use an OO-AB? registration. Also, on planespotters.net, the first A340 has the registration OO-AB?.

As if the future aircraft reg is the exciting part of this company/project...

I'm rather looking forward to see how they'll develop specific routes (and home base...), capacity/frequency, aircraft cabin and the type of product (on-board, ground, types of tickets), potential partners (both airline and non-airline), specific market segments they want to target, etc.
