A friend and his family are on this flight (4 persons). Does anybody know why it is almost 400€/person cheaper to leave/arrive from/in AMS iso BRU? Because of the price they drove from Aalter to AMS and will drive from AMS to Aalter this evening, even when it is much easier to start/end your journey in BRU.

Any idea?

Most Dutch children are still passing their last week at school, while all Belgian children already have vacation, and airlines raise their fares most of the time during vacations. I've heard from different people that departing from AMS in this period can sometimes be alot cheaper!

Just like in the Easter holiday and in the ''krokusvakantie''. The Netherlands doesn't know these holidays or at least not the 2 weeks of Easter holiday, so during those holidays AMS is full of Belgian tourists.
