The gate area was a little basic for an international airport,
If you think Perth is basic, try Leeds Bradford - worst airport in Britain.

Nice report, great photos. I love those Airshow displays, I first came across them on a multi-stop trip on Air New Zealand, they were much better to watch than what NZ put on for their inflight "entertainment"

Looks like you saw more of Belgium than I will this year.

I hope I get chance to see the EK 380 in MAN when I go in September, I've never seen one before (when you're flying from a dump like Leeds you don't see anything interesting, it's nice to be able to fly from a proper airport again  )
Sabena and Sobelair - gone but never forgotten.

nice report.
On the screen above Germany, it notes " Gutersloh ". Quite strange because this town is not that big ?
There is an explanation:
I have been numerous times in this town and it has a very special connection with aviation.
The AFB was a major point during the Blitz against the Netherlands and Belgium in 1940.
During WWII it was a point of defense against allied arial attacks.
After WWII it was a major UK AFB.

Even up today, the English presence is everywhere.
