Hi to you all,
First post for April.......Was out with the scope on Tuesday--Had a white haze in the sky and early pm had HEAT in the SKY so conditions not great and a lot of the OTT aircraft routing via FRANCE ...........

Hi,

Clear skies all day on tuesday and didn't want to waste a nice clear day so took the scope to CPT VOR to catch more movements. Unfortunately had the same problem as DC10MD11, throughout the morning/afternoon the sky was full with heatwaves and haze and most pics went in the trash . Heatwaves dissapeared in the evening but contrast still low, managed to capture only 4 or 5 nice pics out of nearly 900 frames. "C'est la vie".

Hi
Was out with the scope on Saturday and sky conditions were very poor and still had the white haze which you might see in some of the pictures---took about 220 pictures and below is what remains.
I had the flight information but now i cant find it on Laptop. .SORRY.

Today Sunday,had about 2 hours SUN(Pictures in BIN)and now have high white cloud at about 28.000ft

Vader nice pics from your new location, not far from me - Yeovil is about 16 miles away so we should get the same movements

Here is one with rainbow contrail taken on 16th April. Pic is taken using canon 500mm f4 L lens. I hired this lens out for a few days for a spotting trip to AMS and this was taken before the trip at my home location.

I spotted the Skyteam KLM 777 yesterday but had heatwaves and distortion in the photo. Also saw the Atlas Air whilst out on a walk.

Some contrail pics i took whilst spotting at AMS. Of course while using a 500mm lens with 1.4x TC, I kept a keen eye on the sky as well as on the ground
