Reuters Market Eye - Shares in Jet Airways India(JET.NS) gain 1.3 percent, heading for a fourth day of gains, on market talk of a potential sale of parking slots in Brussels to Etihad Airways, dealers say.

Last month Abu Dhabi's Etihad Airways paid $70 million to buy Jet Airways' (JET.NS) slots at London's Heathrow airport and said it continued to be in talks to buy a stake in the Indian carrier.

Jet Airways officials were not immediately available for a comment.

Yes, indeed for LHR. I suspect the same kind of deal is in preparation for BRU.
RoMax wrote:I believe these were the 777's flying for Thai? These were supposed to return to Jet Airways, but they don't need them (they only need a few 777's for their LHR routes). So these will now go to Turkish instead (as TK needed more widebodies than they could get from new orders this summer).
Right again. They were used for Thai and will now go to THY.

Do slots at Brussels have any value then?
I was under the impression only saturated airports like London or Frankfurt etc saw this concept, but at BRU there is ample capacity most of the day, so what's the value of jetairways' slots?

I believe the landing/departure slots at airports like LHR are so expensive. While at BRU, it's difficult to get a parking slot for a widebody in the morning (it improved already since AA left, 9W reduced to 4 daily and gates were also added I believe), so these may have a certain value?
Just an idea tough.

BRU is still listed on the list. You won't see it on the main page, however.

Schedule is actual on their website :

Twice weekly operated by A319 on monday evening and friday morning.

Exact times are given on the website but don't seem realistic

Monday A:1855 D: 1755?
Friday A:1155 D: 1045?

Great a new carrier,new destination @BRU !
But no tourism, no heavy economy, who wants to fly over there to fly a twice weekly a319 economally ?
( except Georgians which are used to fly expensive LH and a FRA stop )
If so, I see JAF operating this route also in the near future

That was what the FlyGeorgia website wrote. Brussels Airport says that it "might" indeed be on 6 May.
