We are looking forward to read your report and see the pictures of your Ryanair adventure.
Particulary question about Manchester airport. I haven't been there some years, and if I am not wrong, some things have changed. Can you please report how it went as a passenger? Specifically the return, with the check inn. And which gates? Infrastructure?

Hi,

Just logged my third military flight thx to Belgium Air Force / PARA excersise NEO ACTIVE TRIP 2012, another C130 flight..

For Regi : Flights with FR to MAN went very good and smooth. Manchester Airport is divided in 3 terminals, and FR uses terminal 3 .. for check in.. : long que for passportcontrol but very 'english style' friendly.. we departed on the almost completely left gate (seen from inside the terminal),with stairs ryanairstyle..,without any issue..

Manchester has some crowded shops and coffeeshops around a central waiting area like other British airports ( BHX-LHR) and 10 minutes before your get your gate on screen ( don't like that, sitting in a crowded area, prefer waiting on the gate,... near the gate and spot some.. ).
When your gate is announced it's a five minute walk to your gate. (depending gate offcourse )
Boarding like always..priority and the non-priority.

Spotting is possible, big windows.. but when flying ryanair, this terminal is too far away to spot some longhaulers.. spotted only a BA B733,some FlyBE's, an Air Malta A32S and some Easyjets A32S and the FR workhorses offcourse..

Terminals are connected to eachother from outside - landside- by a covered foothpath..a 10 min walk to the trainstation near Terminal 1. Trains to Man City- Picadilly Station runs almost every 10 minutes with a cost on +-3 British pounds..

I was quite satisfied with this 22 euro flight CRL-MAN-CRL and will definately uses this route again if I can get it again on such fare and when I don't have to take any luggage ;)
MAN is well worth a visit ( visited the Museum of Industry and the city/shopping area )

Lot of things to do airwise in Berlin - easiest and cheapest : the ballon at Zimmerstr/Wilhelmstr ; at Schonefeld : helico, biplane, floatplane ...
http://www.air-service-berlin.de/index. ... erlin.html

And the Deutsche technikmuseum, too :

The C47 is 5951 of European Air Transport Service, Tempelhof. One can walk on the terrace, just below it.
Other aircraft include :
- Ju 52 D-AZAW of Lufthansa
- Nord 2002 (Bf 108) of Aéronavale
- Messerschmitt Bf 112
- NC 702 Martinet (Aéronavale)
- Fiat F86K
- Mig 15
- Fieseler F156 Storch
- Ju 88
- Messerschmitt Bf 109
and the remains of shot down
- Avro Lancaster
- Ju 87 Stuka
and many others ...
Also, souvenirs of the Berlin airlift.

Unbelievable, you use exactly the same words that popped up in my mind about the Brandenburg delay. The anouncement came at the same day as one of my business partners from East Germany lets down a customer by delay.
( this is one of the reasons that you have seen the last days quite a lot of activity on this forum by me. I had to stay in the office to try ( meaning: not succeeding :x ) to solve things out.
Deutsche Gründlichkeit? My little poop hole !

A Budapest with Wizz and Ryanair to end this month.
June will a bit busy : Ciampino, up to two Budapest (at 6,78 euros for the return ticket, difficult to say no - and moreover, Budapest is beautiful), and a Berlin (SXF, not BER as expected) with easyJet.
July : Manchester and Bergamo (unable to stay very long without landing at Orio al Serio - sorry : Caravaggio - and spending a day in Bergamo or around).
August : Stuttgart with Germanwings, and a mix Manchester with Ryanair / coming back from Liverpool with easyJet.
