June has started and some routes (re-)started:

Aegean today had its first flight from/to Corfu
SN offcourse with JFK
Tomorrow Icelandair will restart Keflavik (STA 12.50)

Turkish Airlines has decided to transfer all remaining international routes of its low-cost division AnadoluJet back to its mainline operation from June 9. As part of the exercise it has also moved the two A320-100/-200 aircraft (TC-JAI, c/n 3259 and TC-JBI, c/n 3308) operated in AnadoluJet colours back to its own operation. The remaining routes are from Ankara Esenboga to Amsterdam Schiphol (AMS), Brussels National Zaventem (BRU), Cologne/Bonn Konrad Adenauer (CGN), Dusseldorf International (DUS), Moscow Vnukovo International (VKO), Stockholm Arlanda (ARN), Tehran Imam Khomeini International (IKA) and Vienna International (VIE).

Air France ends Alitalia codeshares to Belgium and Germany. Bookings are not possible as from 1 July 2012. The routes involved are:
- Milan Linate to/from Brussels and Frankfurt
- Rome to/from Brussels, Frankfurt and Munich

Thomas Cook flies from Brussels to Gazipasa from today

From today, Satyrday 30 June, Thomas Cook flies from Brussels Airport to Gazipasa in Turkey. This is a new destination out of Brussels. Gazipasa is the airport closest to the holiday city of Alanya on the Mediterranean coast.

Gazipasa is the fifth Turkish destination of Thomas Cook from Belgium, after Antalya, Bodrum, Dalaman and Izmir. The flight will be operated twice a week by Tailwind, a partner of Thomas Cook, on Tuesdays and Saturdays, with a Boeing 737-400 seating 168 passsengers.

As from the 10th of July Brussels Airlines will put its code on Thai Airways to and from BKK.

Jet Airways has reduced Chennai – Brussels service, as the carrier prepares to terminate this route from 15NOV12. The airline is now operating the service 5 times a week, instead of daily.

The YUL route operated by AC and Transat are doing quiet well:35.000 belgians only pax in 2011.
