Please,

I really need your help, I need some information regarding the fact of working as Cabin Crew.

I'm working for one year now as CCM in Ryanair, and as all people for wich being cabin crew was a dream, I wanted to move to another company. I applied in the UK in a company called Monarch Airlines and after I passed the selection, I got an answer and I was successfull. However I pass my medical and they decided do not take me as I'm blind color!!!

I really need your help, can you tell me if it's just for monarch or if all the company doesn't take any blind colour. And what about Belgium, and more precisly SN.

Please don't tell me that only working with Ryanair will be possible!!!

Thanx for your help!

I'm not sure it's ok to advertise for an other forum but as you might not get an answer here, give it a try on http://www.pprune.org. There's a Cabin crew section and one for Monarch Airlines. Make a post there, I'm sure there's someone that can help you there ;)

AFAIK color blindness is tested at every Belgian company, SN included. However there are different stages of color blindness. IIRC the lowest stages are accepted. Maybe you should give SFA Medical (or whatever there new name is) a call?

Good luck!

We are very open-minded, you know? Not like Airliners Net which censors anything coming from what they think is competition. I call it cooperation...

Hello,

Thanx a lot for your reactions, I'm now reassured as I know that we can be CCM and colorblind in Belgium.

About Monarch Airlines, I called them this morning to have a feed back of why my medical went wrong and I managed to have a second chance, I will have to go to an ophthamologist and I'll have to send thenm the attestation of my type of colorblindness and the degree then they will send it to the doctor of MON and he will decide if I'm "fit to fly"!

I'll let you know, thank you :-)
