OO-SSV was registered in the Belgian Aircraft Register on September 2, 2011 so this one should be joining too

Is it possible that VEX left the fleet?
I see on Flightaware that she performed her last flight on 4ht Oct.
https://nl.flightaware.com/live/flight/OOVEX

Also in the last SN flight magazine, it's stated that they have 3 733's.

Will other 737's follow shortly?

Apparently, OO-VEX is indeed leaving the fleet.

According to skyliner, the plane was ferried today (06 Nov) from Bacau - Romania to East Midlands for paint.

When are the next 737's are going to be phased out?

Best regards,

I guess we can't expect any news soon regarding the Avros & B737 replacement, isn't it?
Slowly but surely... I was already quite happy to see the 319s & 320s entering the fleet recently...

Looks like VEX had a good time yesterday: flying from East Midlands towards Amsterdam, then to Soignies (Zinnik), Knokke, Ostend, Knokke again and finally BRU. (source: flightradar24)
Parading, showing off the new colours or just enjoying the sunshine?

Early next week, SN is expected to announce to unions it further fleet plans for the next few years.
Not much has leaked, other than that it will lead to a cut-back of unprofitable European routes to the benefit of more longhaul flying.

In this light, the rumour goes that the phase-out of all 737s and RJ85 would be accellerated and the number of planes brought in to replace them would be cut: bigger A319/A320 where possible (on elastic routes), smaller planes where needed (non-elastic routes), thus leading to a smaller, yet more diversified and thus more suitable short and medium haul fleet, all while the long haul fleet grows: recent announcements like the full take-over of LX's flights to Cameroon and SN's entry into A++ seem to support this.

We'll have to see...

In SN's latest inflight magazine there is an updated fleet overview. In this overview I found that there are only 2 733 left in fleet. As VEX already left the fleet, what is the other 733 that will leave the fleet? Any ideas?

OO-DJL RJ85 just landed in Kemble UK, flew there as OODJL for part-out and scrap.
Cheers - Gerald
