as you maybe have seen in the "where will you fly in 2011" thread, I'm planning some holiday in the Azores islands this summer. After lots of discussion with the friends and family members, and approval from the different bosses to get the vacation days at the same time, the following planning was agreed: from 14/07 until 21/07 we would be in the Azores and intend to stay most of the time on São Miguel. And from 21/07 to 24/07, we would make a city trip in Lisbon (so that the other people who did not receive holiday approval can still have some fun with us
).As I know that many luchtzakkers traveled around different places in the world, maybe some of you have already been there... and would give some hints, advice on what to do, see... or avoid!
For transport, we would rent a car to have some freedom on the main island and concerning accommodation, we would rent an apartment, except for the first night (our flight would land around 20:30: tickets will be booked very soon) for which we'll choose an hotel. Except if there is something we should not miss at any cost, we would stay on the same island (São Miguel). We would be 4 adults for the Azores part.
