Ryanair confirms that no further Ryanair flights will operate to or from the UK today (Thursday 15th April '10) from 09:00.
Flight disruptions 15th April 2010 due to Icelandic volcano eruption
Due to the recent volcano eruption in Iceland, Air Traffic Control has warned that there will be closures of airspace sectors contaminated with volcanic ash.
Update 08:30:
These closures are now causing delays and cancellations.
Ryanair confirms that no further Ryanair flights will operate to or from the UK today (Thursday 15th April '10) from 09:00.
Air space closures are likely in other Northern European countries. Cancellations and delays may also be expected tomorrow. Flight cancellations will be updated on www.ryanair.com
Ryanair apologises for any inconvenience which may occur, however these disruptions are outside our control.
Passengers can monitor the status of their flight by clicking on www.ryanair.com and going to Ryanair Live Flight Information

CityJet Flight Disruption due to volcanic ash.
A plume of volcanic ash is spreading towards Northern Europe as a result of a large volcanic eruption in Iceland on Wednesday 14 April. Because of the severe safety risk this represents, some flights have already been cancelled. At this stage it is unclear how the situation will evolve and how this will further affect today’s operations.

SWISS UK and Norway flights cancelled due to volcanic ash
The ash from the recent volcanic eruption in Iceland has now prompted the closure of the airspace of several European countries, including the UK and Norway. As a result, all flights from/to the UK and Norway have been cancelled for the rest of today (Thursday 15 April 2010) from midday onwards.

According to the VRT citing Eurocontrol, the airspace of Belgium, The Netherlands and Germany will be closed this afternoon as well.

Cloud of volcanic ash disturbs air traffic - 15/04/2010
An ash cloud from a volcanic eruption in Iceland has made air traffic impossible in large parts of Scandinavia and the UK. As a result several flights had to be cancelled.
Chances are that Brussels Airport too will be forced to suspend all flights in the course of the day.

I think offering a limited site with all the essential info is the best option iso investing in extra bandwidth that'll go unused most of the time anyway.

Brussels Airlines has decided to cancel all of its flights for the remainder of the day with immediate effect, a total of over 50 flights.
