Schiphol Amsterdam Airport is trying to force out all competitors of Air France KLM, low cost carrier easyJet claimed. It accused the Dutch hub of erecting a “wall of protectionism” aimed at killing off airline competition.
It cited five measures which had favoured AF KLM over other carriers.
• A ticket tax which costs all easyJet passengers €11.25 but from which two thirds of Air France KLM’s passengers are excluded.
• A “massive” increase in airport charges from November 1 under which easyJet passengers will pay €50 while AF KLM’s transfer passengers will pay €22.
• A report by a former Dutch government minister which says Schiphol should be reserved for AF KLM and other airlines “pushed out of Amsterdam.”
• The new alliance between Schiphol and Paris Airports announced last week aimed at helping AF KLM.
• A decision by the Dutch government to invite only AF KLM and a smaller airline BARIN to discuss the country’s aviation policy.
A spokeswoman for Schiphol dismissed the allegations as “not true.”

Re: easyJet accuses Schiphol of “protectionism”
Well if they call BARIN "a smaller airline" they'd better take a second look - it's not an airline at all; but it stands for much more airlinewise than KLM... http://www.barin.nl
