This Wednesday Marseille Provence airport at Marignane has inaugurated a new terminal called MP2 (Marseille Provence 2), the first one in France entirely developed for low cost airlines.
Built in a former cargo hangar of Marignane airport, MP2 has been conceived in order to satisfy the needs of airlines and customers and to minimise costs without sacificing security, thus lowering airport taxes.
Seven airlines among the best known on the market (Easyjet, Ryanair, Virgin Express...) make weekly rotations with reservation by internet. Eleven new destinations will be served from November with the arrival of Ryanair (Porto, Rome, Marrakech, Fès, Oslo, and also Charleroi, Eindhoven, Frankfurt, Karlsruhe and Oujda).
