today (11.01.2003) an SN Brussels Airlines Airbus 330-300 with 231 people on board (220 passengers and 11 crew) made an emergency landing at Malta International Airport. They where on their way to Kigali then Nairobi.
After an anonymous telephone to Brussels Airport, one hour after departure of the aircraft, ATC informed the captain about the bomb threat, and they decided to make an emergency landing at Malta.
The aircraft was brought to a deserted zone, and investigated. The passengers had to go to the transit-zone.
