EI Dublin-flight operated by Sobelair B763?

Post by refledge »

I noticed that the evening flight to Dublin operated by EI was performed by an B763. Seeing that Air Lingus hasn't moved in an 763 to Brussels (maybe they even don't have them, I don't know), there is a possibility that it is a Sobelair plane, leased to compensate the delays caused by the closing of Dublin airport today. Does anybody know more?

Greets, refledge

Don't know if it was opb SLR, but due to an EI strike, EI leased several planes so it might have been a B763 of SLR.

EI flies the BAe146-300, B734, B735, A320, A321, A332 and A333, and recently ordered additional A32S's to replace the B737 and 146. No B763's are in their fleet.

They also have some F50's parked at WDT, but those are wfu already for some time.

I think the Fokker 50 is permanantly withdrawn from the Aer Lingus fleet. They were regularly used on services to regional UK airports until the airline phased in the BAe 146. You would often see the EI F50 at Glasgow on the Dublin route.

OO-SLS operated a few EI flights (for example DUB-LHR).

I hope Sobelair will get some money for flying for Aer Lingus! I hope that their 767's allways will fly!
