Post by OO-VEX »

Hi All,

i would like to know if there are aviation shops in Belgium, where you can find books, video's, dvd's, models,... I'm especially looking for the JP Airline fleets international.

There is a good shop on Rue Lombard in Brussels.

I think it's called Historic Aviation or something like that.

I was in there in September and they have an excellent range of models, some books, Sabena souvenirs and things like that.
Sabena and Sobelair - gone but never forgotten.

lhshop (Luchtvaart Hobby Shop) is huge.....no enormous!!!
It's close to my office and I was just there to buy a dvd from KLM Cityhopper F50, F70 amd F100 (world air routes) and I was shocked of the size.
They even have a complete fighterjet inside the store!!!

Hi Lien,

In the LHS, the jet is a PZL TS 11 Iskra from the Indian Air Force. A Polish made Jet Trainer.

In Antwerp, there's a shop (at least, I think it is) which sells decals (modelling). I don't know if they sell other aviation-related things there.

Address: Skyline Decals, Provinciestraat 8, 2018 Antwerpen

Somebody more info about this shop? Thx

Hi Glider,

Are you sure this is a shop...
I know this is the address of SkyLine Decals (or Daco) but I do not know if the sell products directly to you... or if they are a whole-seller.

Regards

You are right.... I've already ordered many models from them. The service is reliable, friendly and efficient. The prices are also right. I was there on Saturday (25/10) for a special event. I could get some models at nice prices (DHL Boeing 727, Cargolux Boeing 747-400F, House Colours Fokker 50/10/100 and a new-liveried VEX Boeing 737-300, etc.)

But I'm :offtopic:

So, let's turn back to the list

 Brussels
BRUSSELS MODEL SHOP
GRASMARKT, 36, RUE MARCHE AUX HERBES 1000 BRUXELLES
TEL (32) 02 512 29 56 - FAX (32) 02 512 23 56
The shop is located on the first floor of a 'common' toy shop. They sell die-cast Herpa Wings, model kits and post-cards

BRAND
Grasmarkt 62 Rue du Marché aux Herbes 1000 BRUSSELS
In the same street, a few houses further, there is another shop. They sell die-cast Herpa Wings, high quality wooden airliners (Sabena Boeing 707/737/747 are often for sale) and, last but not least, push-fit models Wooster by Herpa Wings :thumbsup2:

 Hasselt
BROUX
KONING ALBERTSTRAAT 40 - 3500 HASSELT
TEL (32) 11 26.32.91 - FAX(32) 11 26.32.92
They stock mainly die-cast (Herpa, Drago) and kits. Their prices are not as low as they used to be

 Liège
HOBBY 2000
Quai de la Boverie 78 - 4020 LIEGE (a bit away from the city centre, close to the 'Palais des Congrés')
Tél : 04 - 341 29 87 - Fax : 04 - 343 66 03
http://www.hobby2000.be/
Although they are famous as 'train' sellers, they stock die-cast Herpa, Dragon Wings and Corgi die-cast airliners. They also have a good range of kits and, from time, to time Wooster push-fit models. During the 'sales period' a 30 - 40 - 50 % discount is not unusual there!

JOCARI
GALERIE OPERA, 66 - 4000 LIEGE (City Center)
They stock kits and Revell paints (are the only Revell paints dealer in Liege). Their prices are interesting and they often have special offers and rare-to-find kits at reasonable prices! Yet the -overworked-members of staff are often unable to answer your question(s) since they mainly sell toys!

REDUCTA
Rue du pot d´Or 19 - 4000 Liege (City Center)
Tel + 32 / 4 223.15.21.
Reducta sells Herpa die-cast models, Revell (and Airfix / Monogram) kits... and Daco/Skyline decals. They import Revell kits directly from Germany at low prices! It is a family-owned and -run shop! This shop is one of my favourite: they are friendly, reliable and always ready to help you  If you have a special request, they are likely to browse their maps of documents to help you further!

They have a second shop in Verviers : Place verte, Grand Bazar
4800 Verviers - Tel. 087/35.06.48.

I help I could help you further
