Paris-St. Petersburg-Paris with Air France

Post by Yaroslav »

Hi all!
2 times a year I go to my native city - St. Petersburg. Last summer it was the first time that I made some pictures during the flight. Here it my trip report. Excuse me if I post it a bit late - I didn't have time before.
Part 1: Brussels-Paris-St. Petersburg:
8th July 2005, 12h35, Brussels South Railway Station. It's the first time that I'm taking a high speed train to Paris Charles De Gaulle. Our train have a "flight number" AF7192. Air France offers first class seats in Thalys :D, that's great!
1. Here is my train in Paris Charles De Gaulle Airport Railway Station, my air travel is beginning from here:
Image
2. After I had some problems with buses: my bus didn't stop in terminal 2B, so I made a tour of all the terminals of Charles De Gaulle :?. It took me 45 minutes. But fortunately I had 2 hours before my departure to St. Petersburg. After I passed all the usual staff like luggage registration, boarding etc...
My flight AF2898 was on an Airbus A319. I got a seat 24F, one of the best I think. Here are we parked near a Boeing 737-400 of CSA:

3. Pushback, British Airways Avro at parking:

4. Lockheed L-1011 8O:

5. Taxing over the route, the most impressive part of LFPG:

Part 3: St.Petersburg-Paris-Brussels:
16th August 2005, St. Petersburg Pulkovo Airport. I'm waiting my flight AF2699 to Paris Charles De Gaulle. This time it's an Airbus A320. Unfortunately I didn't get a place next to the window (17B), so there is no much photos.
47. It was rainy, so there is no pictures of taxing and takeoff. After takeoff, view on industrial zone:

I hope that you enjoyed my trip report.
Comments are welcome!
P.S.: I already booked my tickets for this winter trip to St. Petersburg. It will be with Austrian Airlines via Vienna. I depart the 24th December and I arrive the 6th January. And normally I should get 4 different planes. Expect a trip report :D!

I also enjoy arriving in LEN with all these Russian beauties at that airport!

St. Petersburg via CDG with Air France? Did you know SN flies to St. Petersburg from Brussels ?

Of course. But via Paris it was 2 euros cheaper and it's more fun!

Do appreciate all the pics Yaroslav!!!

On a side note: I remarked that in the third picture the BA Avro's airbrake is partially deployed...does anybody know why, cause the spoilers are retracted on the picture...
