BA767 to LHR and back again

Postby Andries » 27 Apr 2003, 13:41

On April 12th, Kristof and me left Brussels for LHR for 2 days of spotting.
The flight was carried out by a BA767. It was my very first flight and I was pretty nervous.
I must admit that the BA crew was very friendly, but the food on board ... :pukey: :pukey: :pukey:
After landing we got acces to the cockpit and had a chat with the pilot.
Because it was our first time at LHR, we didn't know were we had to be.
The pilot gave us instructions on where to go for photography and afterwards a steward took us to the Central Bus Station and showed us the bus we had to take.
Conclusion : BA service is

EBOS,

glad you enjoyed your first trip, I remember my first trip was from Brussels to LHR as well on a Boeing 737 with British Airways as well! Together with my grandparents as I was about 12 years old I think.

Actually my very first flight was with Malev towards Budapest but I was too young at that time to remember it. But the BA-flight was the one I remembered most...

My first flight with Sabena was a familarisation-flight from Brussels to Prague in the cockpit of a Boeing 737-200 !

My first flight with DAT was from Brussels to Napels on a RJ 100.

I'm sorry I'm totally getting :offtopic: with my text.

Anyway EBOS, I'm glad you enjoyed your trip! Next time try SN Brussels Airlines, the food is better with us ;-)

ciao,

Bart

Well, actually I booked my trip with SNBA, but due to the codeshare agreement with BA, I flew on BA ...

Maybe for my next trip I'll use SNBA ...
Who knows ...

BA0404 has a 767 operating to Brussels and back.

It's so cool to be on a 767 for such a short flight +/- 45min from LHR to BRU.

Service is great. Food is good and it's good to be on such a big plane instead of a smaller 737 or an AVRO.

I'm booking my next flights with SNBA, and if that happens to me I shall be very angry, putting it mildly!!!!

I am a travel agent's nightmare when I book flights to Belgium. I am very insistent about who I fly with, last year I told them they had to get me on an Antwerp flight because I would not fly with BA or BD. This year I am going to insist on them telling me the flight numbers of the flights before I make the final confirmation. If it starts SN5***, then they can go and stick it somewhere I'll not name on this forum and I'll make them put me on VLM. If it starts SN2*** then that's okay. I'm aiming for SN2174, but if that's not available I'll have to fly with VLM.

I never flew with BA but they seem to have one of the best services around in the industry. I hear very excellent words about Virgin also but I also never flew with them. As long as the people are friendly it is fine with me. I am completely satisfied already with Ryanair so I won't ask much attention.

I am being totally loyal to my principles when I answer this. The best airline I have ever flown with (and this list includes BA) was Sabena. Their crews were friendly, polite and professional. The next best airline is VLM, their crews too are friendly, polite and professional. I am going to fly with SNBA next because I believe in flying to Belgium with the Belgian airlines, and I am proud to say that.
