Does Curacao Airlines (ex-DCA and ALM) have a future?

Post by KLMCityhopper »

After ALM made its fatal discision to code share with City Bird to Amsterdam, for cheaper prices, (1996), KLM has had a sweet revenge, allocating all its ongoing flights from Curacao to Bonaire, and flying these alone, without ALM. After this move of KLM, ALM was slowly rotting away, till about 200, when it was rebranded as DCA, with a better future, and more cash. Code sharing with Sobelair to Amsterdam was soon started. Next, Sobelair went bankrupt, so Air Holland was chosen, but this soon also went bankrupt, next DCA was bankrupt. Curacao was created, only flying inter island routes, without the vital Amsterdam route. This line kept DCA flying, till the end. It was found that Curacao Airlines was corrupt, like ALM and DCA, so its future is not sure either. Atleast, (also maybe corrupt) Exel flyines inter island routes for the local communities.
