With Continental heading towards a cash shortage am I the only one that thinks placing an order for the 7e7 is a bad idea?
Also along the same lines . . . United are in financial problems yet they choose to repaint the whole fleet in a new scheme and Us airways probablly the worst run airline is having erj 170's delivered? all be it to a franchise partner. I dont understand the reasoning behind purchasing new aircraft and painting them all up when you have no money.
What do you all think

It seems to me that the 7E7 order by Continental was an ill hearted atempt for Boeing to reduce their target of 200 by the end of 2004. As I have already said, that am sure that Airbus wasnt even consolted about the A350, not even to try to bring the price tag down on those Boeings. With managment like this whats not to expect. And lets not forget Mr Gorden Bethune the out going chairman and cheif executive of Continental, a former boeing Employee.
