and more logical... you can only slide small pieces in there (at the side) the Beluga can take whole sections...

The project loks nice, but I wonder why they didn't opted for a bigger front door? Probably because they didn't wanted to re-design all that part of the plane as well.

But maybe they don't even need to transport such big parts that need a front cargo door, and a side door could do the job as well.

Only time will tell ;)

and they have already purchased a B747-400 from China Airlines to convert it from a pax a/c into this Beluga type freighter,

This is a purpose built special aircraft, designed to hold specific components, it wasn't meant to look pretty, or like a whale.
It will do what it was designed to do, and thats carry 787 parts. Hopefully safely and for a long time.

No aircraft is designed to look pretty, only economics count...

You can't really judge the look of a new airplane from a drawing, just look at the a380...

It'll look good, just because it's an airplane :wink:
