Ethiopian is evaluating order for up to 17 7E7s or or A350s

Post by TkPol »

Hello,

Ethiopian Airlines is evaluating an order for up 17 7E7s or A350s, assuming the latter program is launched.

"We will make a decision in one or two months. If we decide on Boeing, new aircraft could be delivered in four years. For Airbus, it would be in about six years' time," CEO Girma Wake told ATWOnline in Dakar during the 36th Annual African Airlines Assn. General Assembly.

Any opinion on this subject or confirmation from other sourse? Ethiopian is gonna be the first African launching carrier for 7E7...

My guess would be the B7e7, but it's only a guess.

Airbus has received the authorisation to look for customers (ATO), the last step before deciding the construction.
