Aum Sweet Aum.
We know the Hindustan forge and foundry works very well. Well, yes, okay. It exists. They can make parts.
The problem is mentality. If you ask them if they can make parts according european standards, they always reply "yes, my friend, and very cheap for you" Untill it comes to delivery, real quality and the price tag at the end.
It is good that India makes its own airplanes. The home market is huge. But if we look at the extremely bad performance of the airplanes made and/or refurbished in India e.g. for their own airforce, please , let us pray that the products are well inspected before they cross the borders.
This is a nice business jet. When will we see larger airplanes? Do we smell fear after the disastrous results of the Iranian experiences with the Ant140 program?
And don't forget the financial black hole created in Indonesia when Suharto wanted Indonesia to have its own aviation industry.
We will talk again in 10 years.
