Dutchbird and exelaviationgroup

Post by dre »

Dear luchtzakkers,

Tomorrow there will be a press release that finally Dutchbird and Exelaviationgroup have come to an agreement that Dutchbird will continue under the wings of HollandEXEL.
I think this is good news because Dutchbird was almost bankrupt.

Furthermore Erik De Vlieger has said that Brussels was an interesting opportunity to start new expansions of the exelaviationgroup.

Best is yet to come.

ButchBird almost bankrupt? that's the first I heard about that...

It would be nice to see Belgium exel expand, but if they do I'm afraid TCAB will do the long-haul flights themselves...

Yes, this could be correct.

But, they will not do it with the A320's.

I heard a rumour it could be the A330 or even a A350 (2008) who will join the fleet then.

Wait and see...

A380 in high density can even serve the European sector.
How many would they order in that case ?

I am not a specialist but in 2 replies, there is a rumour about using A350.
Is it possible that some people are a bit too over exited because we are waiting to hear from Airbus if they will manufacture this model yes or no.
So let us conclude that it is definitively a rumour and not a fact.

Overname Dutchbird door de ExelAviationGroup geformaliseerd
25-11-2004

They are Dutch owned, but I would say that with a belgian AOC and Belgian crews BelgiumExel is a Belgian (at least Belgian based) airline.

How about TUB & TCA?
TUI airlines Belgium is (probably) a German airline then, and TCA probably not Belgian also..

I do not know how other people see this, but I would consider these airlines belgian airlines...
