OO-SFM is/was standing in Dakar. Arrival of SN204 this morning was cancelled. For the arrival SN206 from Dakar tomorrow morning everything seems normal.

The SN1205 to Dakar is operated by a Exel Airways 737-800, G-XLAB, as replacement for the A330.

Departure SN205 to Conakry is flown by OO-SSK and will return tomorrow morning as SN1206. (0600 LT)

Thanks, Brubiac.

This morning, all three A333s are back, although the arrival of SN206 from Dakar was delayed by almost three hours. Also the A319 with flight number SN1206 from Conakry arrived on time.

Let me guess.... Bird-strike resulting in engine-troubles :?:

(I'm just saying that because unfortunately this is happening very frequently to all companies flying in & out of central Africa)

Hello SN-spotters!

I do know he stood in the hangar next to the 'regional-aviation'-apron,
for quite a long time. He has been replaced by HV 738's (as mentioned),
and ofcourse SN's 319. I saw the OO-SFM(correct?) arrive on 11/11/04
when i was spotting the Eva Air Cargo 74Y, i was surprised of he's late
arrival (09:20? you'll see soon in one of my new log's.).

After being unloaded, he was pulled in the hangar around noon.
Since than it has been standing there for more than one week probebly?
I also don't know what happened, i only know he landed the 11/11 and
stood in the hangar for a long time. And id would be nice to see all 3 SN
333's back.

Best regards: Yannick

Its the season: The Gambia Birding Group. These guys would know more?

The Gambia's population is 90% muslim, with a rather progressive ecological rule, it signed the Kyoto, the bio-diversification and is against nuclear.
It has bird sanctuaries, and.... bird strike...

Banjul International Airport (BIA, an other one!) is located at Yundum. The airport is located 27 km from the capital city of Banjul and has a 3.6 km runway (the third longest in Africa).

Dutch NACO, Netherlands Airport Consultants B.V. worked at Banjul International Airport's rehabilitation programme: terminal building area, runway and navigational aids.
