Man sitting naked by landinggear at LAX

Post by moons »

http://www.luchtvaartnieuws.nl/news/?ID=6154

A man with psychological problems jumped over a fence and ran to a 747 of Qantas. He took a seat by the the landing gear and he refused to come out of it.
Reason for this : he didn't get his ticket because his creditcard wasn't valid!

That's indeed a strange story, but also funny.
Maybe LAX needs to review their security policy or at least be sure that the fences are there for their purpose (keeping unauthorized people out)

I thought that they had improved security at LAX in recent months, but obviously not.

It certainly wasn't up to much when we were there a few years back. One was able to come and go through security at will. Does that still apply?

Security at LAX and other US airports is looking for a group of heavily armed men, carrying rocket launchers, screaming "Allah Akbar" and keeping innocent passengers at gunpoint.

What happened with QF was not foreseen in the LAX Emergency Script (4.638 pages), so please: have mercy with them.

Well 6 years ago I landed at LAX coming from London...
The only thing I can remember was the long way to the immigration point, which also took quite some time, and the police which had a dog sniffing around for drugs I think. We had to stand in a proper line and pass the dog.
