airBaltic changes its corporate identity and positions itself as a significant regional airline
Riga, 27.10.2004. – In October, the Latvian airline airBaltic has changed its corporate identity. airBaltic's new corporate image is vivid, contemporary, eye catching, confident and accentuates the airline's regional status.
airBaltic President Bertolt Flick commented "At present, airBaltic is a different airline to what it was in 1995. With the new airBaltic identity we want to communicate and be recognized as a strong Baltic region airline, one that is developing dynamically. airBaltic's new identity is simple and easy – it reflects very directly the main qualities of the product we offer. The structure of airBaltic's one-way ticket pricing system is also straightforward, and readily compatible with other tourism products".
Since its founding in 1995, airBaltic has become the leading airline in the Latvian market, significantly influencing the development of the aviation and tourism industries in the Baltic region. Currently, airBaltic holds a 57% share of the market at Riga International Airport, in addition, airBaltic carried 423 632 passengers in the first nine months of this year, a 75% increase on the same period last year. September was particularly successful, with airBaltic carrying a record number of passengers – 62 924 – 84% more than in September 2003.
"airBaltic's current operations attest to stable growth, and entitle us to look into the future with optimism," added Bertolt Flick.
