Lufthansa is now looking to retire all Airbus A380s, Boeing 747s


The deepening fleet shakeup could see 100 jets culled, leading to further job losses.

Lufthansa is burning cash at a rate of €500 million a month and is far from breaking even.

Lufthansa will no longer operate out of Leipzig/Halle Airport until at least May 2021 due to lack of demand.

Lufthansa schedules its final Berlin Tegel flight, Munich – Berlin Tegel, on 07 November 2020 with A350-900.

Lufthansa Cargo has published the winter 2020/21 schedule for its cargo aircraft. The carrier will continue to serve numerous destinations worldwide in the coming half-year from its home hub in Frankfurt am Main.

Lufthansa has sold five B747-400s to GE Aviation Materials for spare parts. The planes will be dismantled in Texas.

That is... if the Dutch authorities allow them to take off from Twente Airport where they are stored!

Lufthansa Group continues to work on its new “Ocean” airline platform, which will operate under its own AOC by end of 2021. The fleet will consist of around eight aircraft.
