Why does it take so long?

I guess that the infrastructure to welcome passengers and busses has to be done.

China : 10 days for an 1000 bed hospital,
Belgium 2 years for a little adaptation... and to provide busses. Automatic railway system between Fleurus and CRL so difficult to create ?

That's indeed what our article says: a Luxembourg passenger coming from Italy ;)

You're right. I hadn't seen the article and the summarizing sentence wasn't clear. Thanks

Thus, Charleroi reopens on 15 June.

According to its spokesman Vincent Grassa, Wizz Air will be the first airline to relaunch flights the same day. Ryanair would follow on 1 July.

According to its spokesman Vincent Grassa, Wizz Air will be the first airline to relaunch flights the same day. Ryanair would follow on 1 July.
Brussels South Charleroi Airport (BSCA) announces the resumption of its commercial activities as of 15 June 2020. In accordance with health recommendations and according to new flying advice provided by airlines, a number of measures have been introduced to guarantee the safety of the airport’s staff and users.
There is a ban for non essential travel out of a Belgian airport: at least till 7th June. The Belgian authorities may or may not extend that: "...Le Conseil National de Sécurité évaluera cette interdiction en temps utile / De Nationale Veiligheidsraad zal dit verbod tijdig opnieuw evalueren..."

The Walloon government is, via Sowaer, the operator of CRL Airport. If the Walloon government knows already today that the above federal authority will allow all travel as from 8th June, the source for that news (= the federal authority) should share that decision with all other Belgian airports.

(Of course Wizz, Ryanair and others are allowed to operate flights for essential travel as from 15th June. But such flights are already allowed today).

All other Belgian airports are not closed. And have never closed.
Why wouldn't CRL re-open on 15/06 then?
It's not about "re-opening". I didn't wrote that the airport is closed now. It's about "re-opening for commercial traffic". Re-opening for non-essential travel. That is not allowed till 7th June, but the Walloon government seems to know already knows that this ban will be lifted.

The Walloon government never said the ban will be lifted. CRL is currently closed for commercial traffic and will reopen on 15 June. Today, none of the scheduled airlines (Ryanair, Wizz Air, TUIfly, etc.) is allowed to operated commercial aircraft at CRL. If the ban is not lifted by 15 June, commercial aircraft will be authorised to fly, but they will carry only passengers allowed to travel.
