Due to the strike of the ACOD from Monday 30/12/19 to Friday 3/1/20, bus company De Lijn expects disruption to its services. It is currently unclear how great the nuisance will be. The impact can vary from region to region and from day to day.

(De Lijn is the largest provider of bus services to Brussels Airport)

On Tuesday 28 January a national manifestation is organised in Brussels. Brussels Airport and its partners are doing everything in their power to limit the impact of it on the passengers. Nevertheless, impact on airport operations is possible.

Advice for passengers:

- Travel with carry-on baggage only if possible. Respect the restrictions regarding dimensions and weight set by your airline. Please keep in mind that only a limited amount of liquids and gels is permitted in your hand baggage.
- Leave for the airport well ahead of your departure time.

Tomorrow the Brussels airport police should start a work-to-the-rules action at 06:00. Queues expected at passport control of Pier B. Passengers should come early!

And of course at Skyes they want to go on strike again. This time bcs the file regarding the "prikklok" is again on the table.
They don't want to do it now, bcs no air traffic, but on the moment that air traffic will start again.

Well, this is mean, extremely mean. For my part it can be done by the Dutch or German controllers. Its enough with this Skyes

Are. You. Kidding. Me ?????

Have those people at Skyes no decency at all? Belgian aviation is struggling for survival and they want to go on strike again ? I'm lost for words.

Hi,

Well if this should be the case fire them and replace them by military...
They got the right to go on strike but in these times when a whole industry is cripple and try to get up.. it's almost terrorism and suïcide...
Ridiculous... If true 🤯😭

National strike at Flemish bus company De Lijn this morning, and probably for the whole day. Only 25% of the buses serving Brussels Airport are running. If you have to go to the airport, it's preferable to go by train or on the buses of STIB/MIVB (line 12).
