Wednesday (tomorrow) a candidate-buyer will make a offer. This has to be approved by the court. If the judge approves the offer, the transaction will be finished on thursday. Mr Meijs refused to tell which company want to buy the bankrupt Vbird. (source: ProNRN)

That is good news maybe for the staff from ex-VBA.

Just a pitty that the A320's from ILFC are since yesterday available on the market.

1 Is is already gone (leased to new client).

Still 2 to go...

So maybe they have to start looking for new a/c's to lease as well...

V Bird Insurance

Post by botrys »

Don't the airline industry have to have any insurance or a fund to compensate passengers, like ABTA for the travel agents.
I lost the return half of a ticket after I was stranded in Manchester trying to get back to Munich. The Lufthansa ticket cost an additional 200 Euros.
