This flag horse has been beaten to death, cut up in pieces and spread over 700 places by now :?

Plane was this morning visible from P1. Can be seen where the old DHL-building was.

Have a look at military uniforms where, if worn, the flag on the left upper arm is pictured in reverse.

......
Hmm, not a good sign. That means that your troops plan to retreat.
;)

Hey, let your hair down. I'm glad you said you are supportive of AB.
Have a good cold but sunny week-end.

PLEASE DO ! This 27 pages thread could be summed up to 5 or 6 pages without these boring comments.

WOW

And just when I thought to ask you what your position was regarding the flag. Would that question be so wrong?

But I admit defeat on my position even thought it's completely wrong. I raise the white flag!

I'm joining the cease fire mood.

It is not the case now but for sure if AB were to apply the national banner they would do it with the right orientation.

(Heading on a being-banned-for-the-weekend course:)

On the colours: the Belgian Constitution states in Article 193: "The Belgian Nation adopts red, yellow and black colours". Constitutional lawyers agree that the black-yellow-red flag has been wrong since 1831. It took Niky Terzakis and Chinese tour agents to get it right after nearly two centuries ;) Respect.

Not completely... Our national banner :D might be indeed red, yellow and black according to article 193 but it was also horizontal. So it's still incorrect regarding direction  (and afaik the article doesn't state the correct order of the colours, it only mentions which colours to be used).

Edit: It will be a quiet weekend here

Back on topic: is anything known about the crew composition? When serving primarily Chinese customers, one can imagine that a substantial part of the flight attendants will have to master Cantonese or Mandarin. The selection criteria on their website (which still has a predominantly caucasian touch and feel) state: "You are fluent in spoken and written English, Dutch and French OR you are fluent in spoken English and Mandarin OR English and Cantonese".

Indeed. Lovely livery indeed, but there won't be much time to joy/enjoy. Let's not forget reality: they have lost 2,185,333 Euro during their first year (18/02/2016-31/12/2016). Loss during 2017: we'll know within a few week, but it will probably be a lot more. Loss during 1Q2018: probably a lot more then "a lot more".

Reminds me to that quote from sir Richard Branson: If you want to be a Millionaire, start with a billion dollars and launch a new airline.

I'm sure they didn't duck out the question. ;) And ,btw, their first aircraft is nicely lacquered! :)

Does someone know what the registrations of the third and fourth airplane will be? I thought it would be -ABC and -ABD, but there is already a plane registered as OO-ABC; a Dassault falcon 7X

Very nice and original livery indeed ! Wishing them all the best, and if fares are resonable, why not plan a 4-5 day trip to HKG. I visited the city about 20 years ago, flying LHR- HKG Kai Tak with a CX B744, with the famous final right turn approach. And yes, I was sitting at a right side window :0). Very interesting and fun city to visit !
Question : stickering vs. Painting, what are the (dis)advantages of both ?
Cost ? Time to get the final result ? Quality of work and time expected to remain in good condition on a plane ?
