Anomalies in BRU-ANR-CRL-LGG-OST in 2018

It was available as a back up aircraft in case the A330 for the Diplomatic/Economic mission to Canada went AOG. Other than that, it’s basically what the entire premise of Hifly is about. They’re not a scheduled airline, but provide customers with aircraft when/where needed. If nobody needs the aircraft, there’s no need to fly it anywhere so it sits on the ramp, ready for its next assignment.

Not necessarily, it is owned by HiFly, a company that has a maintenance base located at the LH Technics hangar at BRU. So it might just have come in for maintenance. Without a direct need from customers it stays there for some time as any positioning flight will make costs rise.
If it's still there, same goes for the Air X Charter A340 that arrived some weeks ago.

My flight SN2260 from CPH to BRU of tonight has been cancelled. My ticket is rebooked to a flight tomorrow morning. Does anyone know the reason of this cancellation? The guy at the desk in the airport had no further information...

I don't find any trace of today's SN2259 BRU-CPH (not on Flightradar24.com, not on Planefinder.net). So that flight probably didn't operate.

Unless the airline proofs that the cancellation was caused by extraordinary circumstances, you are entitled to 250 Euro compensation. On top of hotel costs and meals of course. The only thing you have to do, is ask for this compensation and give a proof that you had a confirmed reservation. Best way to do this, if you have time Monday morning, is to visit the Brussels Airlines info desk at Brussels Airport.

OO-JAO took over and operated the flight, departing at 19:37 instead of 14:15. It has been a long day for the pax. But why did FR24 label this flight X37993? X3 is the code of TUIfly Germany.

But there was another flight from CPH to BRU: SN2264 that left CPH at 23:35 (lt) with 2 hours delay and landed BRU a few minutes ago. Maybe it was full.

B737-700 OO-JAS had a technical problem and had to circle many times all over Belgium before being able to land. Passengers were transferred to another B737-700 OO-JAO and landed in SSH in the middle of the night. The passengers due to come back to Belgium were accommodated in a hotel in Sharm el-Sheikh and are coming back to Brussels this afternoon with OO-JAO.

TLS was indeed closer than LYS, and BOD was even closer from the point they diverted.
Both TLS and BOD have hospitals nearby the airport while LFLL/LYS is kind of in the middle of nowhere.
Therefore I don't think it was a medical.
Only thing coming to mind is that LFLL has a 4000-m long runway. Would that be the reason for the choice of alternate?
Whatever the reason, it seems they wanted to put her down asap, +300kts below FL100 per FR24 ...
