LH will have to lower its prices in order to get their planes filled.

Why should they? 80% of their plane is filled with transfer pax...

I mean that they'll would have to lower their prices if a LCC joins routes where LH has a monopoly and they start losing passengers to the LCC.

I often fly to GVA during the last +/-12 months, and always at short notice (1-3 days).
Last week I had the choice between SN (6 daily flights) and U2 (2-3 flights per day).

SN : 663.44 EUR.
U2 : 243.68 EUR.

All these flights are usually +90% full boat.

I don't think that SN will flinch because of an LCC flying the same route. Same route but not the same traffic.
