I remember some years ago that the airforce had flights to Mombassa as well, for R&R holidays for the belgian paratroopers in Somalia.
I can imagine the difference of inflight entertainment between a C-130 and a 767.
well, have a laugh.

RE VARIG 763 for TUI Belgium.

That would simpely be great,i hoped yet for a long time that they
would buy a long-houl(or at least a larger aircraft than the 738)
plane.

I can't wait to see him,and i hope the 767 will arrive at BRU in
full VARIG colors!!!

yeah!!!!!! :D

24843 B767-341(ER) CF6-80C2B6 06/27/90 VARIG BRASIL(ITOH) PP-VOK

If you look at Airlines.net you can see that PP-VOL is repained this year. PP-VOK was repainted in 2000. So probably PP-VOK will be Leased by Tui Airlines Belgium.

This is a picture of the interior.
So no PP-VOK but PP-VOL https://www.aviation24.be/article5744.html

TUI 767

Post by Bruspotter »

Hi

Woow, is really great a TUI colored 763!!! My first question
about that is or Begium Excel and Loftleidir Icelandic (also 763's)
will still operate BRU at the same time, since the TUI will fly a lot
to the Carribean Sea??? I hope so, i would like to see MORE
long-hauls at BRU instead from the one replacing another one , so
i hope they stay , all of the trio.

Yeah!!!

Loftleidir Icelandic is now flying for Jetair/tui and they will leave when the
B763 arrives at Brussels

Greetings

Airbuske :)

Exactly Airbuske. But the BelgiumExel plane will continue to operate the long haul flights for the ThomasCook group.

TUI Airlines Belgium is still waiting for a ETOPS-license. In a few weeks they start their first long haul operations. A little bit the same story as Freddy Van Gaevers VG Airlines, remember the start...

Indeed, but let's hope they will be more successful than VG Airlines.
