After Ryanair last year, EasyJet was granted slots at Frankfurt airport, though it is not clear when it will start flying.

Probably former Air Berlin slots between Frankfurt and Berlin, as easyJet bought 25 Air Berlin aircraft to open a base in Tegel.

EasyJet will take delivery of its first A321neo in July 2018, which is expected to deliver an 8-9% cost per seat saving compared to an A320neo, primarily due to their 235-seat configuration.

Condor will wet lease aircraft to easyJet from January 2018 for at least four months, complementing two easyJet aircraft on German domestic routes out of Berlin Tegel taken over from Air Berlin. Do you follow?

Easy (pun intended) to follow, no?
EasyJet needs to recruit and train 300 former Air Berlin pilots, whilst this is done they need a wetlease to start Tegel operations.

SmartLynx Airlines (Latvia) signed a long-term wet-lease contract with easyJet for the lease of six A320s: four with Latvian registration, serials 2233, 1762, 566, and 662, and two with Estonian registration, serials 936 and 984.

The lease term for all aircraft is determined from 07 January till 31 March 2018. All aircraft will operate from the base in Berlin Tegel, replacing former Air Berlin flights.

EasyJet is set to win unconditional EU antitrust approval to buy parts of failed Air Berlin, including some of its operations at Berlin Tegel, for around EUR40 million. It will also take on leases for up to 25 A320s, and about 1,000 pilots and cabin crew.

And indeed, this takeover was approved by the EU.
