Is it possible to have a quick update regarding potential new destinations currently evaluated by brussels airlines? In Europe (HEL, DUB, SOF...) and Africa (JNB, NBO, BZV...) of course, but also in America(s) (BOS, SFO, GRU/GIG...) and Asia (TYO NH codeshare, China...)?
Thanks...

I don't think that SN will easily disclose the destinations they are looking at, unless a firm decision has been taken and the sales need to be launched. They don't want to alert the competition...

For new destinations you need more planes, before the (yet to be announced) arrival of new wide-body aircraft I wouldn't expect new intercontinental destinations.

Sure... but what do people of this forum think here on the matter?

Was there already a time frame/estimation when
a) these will be indeed handled by SN
b) these will be available on SN website?

Probably I am way too early with this

Today, for the first time ever since the creation of SN, we can see 10 long haul aircraft flying at the same time, and it will be like this every Sunday :-)

One of them is a Wamos one replacing OO-SFM which haven't flown for a long time by the way

OO-SFM has a delay in heavy maintenance I thought, it should be returning very soon now (today or early next week?)

Specialist, perhaps not. Admirer would be more appropriate ;)

Yes, it's fake news or alternative facts: Only Tintin, they missed Magritte, Red Devils and Amare? :D

Hi,
Back from holidays (pls allow me to recommend the beautiful french island Martinique...), I must admit that I was very pleased to read all the fresh news regarding brussels airlines! The (still to be confirmed...) takeover of Thomas Cook Airlines Belgium, the march figures, etc...
If I understand well, SN now stands almost at 40% market share @ BRU... could you believe in it 1 or 2 years ago? Also what would be their market share if you add all charter flights operated by SN? And tomorrow if you also add the Thomas Cook airlines Belgium figures (btw, what are their figures @ BRU?!)!
What an exciting year for them in 2017!!!

I do enjoy your enthousiasm, but ATM the figures show a market share of "only" 36,5%. Impressive growth from a few years ago, though ;-).

Taking into account the charter activities of SN, likely a tiny bit more (will make a bigger difference in the summer months when every week tens of full A319/320 charters are operated by SN) ;) And in terms of number of flights (SN vs. BRU pax flights, so not the absolute total) the marketshare is now around 40%.

For Q1 2017 as a whole the pax market share was slightly above 35% and in flights at 39.3% (excluding the charters). On all aspects the market share of SN continues to grow significantly: O&D, transfer, long haul, short haul, ...
