Marcel Buelens further hints that the timetable would remain the same as now, adapted to winter time.

The contract has been signed! The name of the new airline will be announced next week. The Cityjet service ANR-LCY-ANR will continue till 28th October, and on 29th October the new airline steps in. Also 3 flights each day.

Here's hoping that whoever runs the route can offer a decent booking engine and integration with GDS systems. That seems rather important for a business route.

I would prefer British Airways Cityflyer to operate this route. It would offer many connections to other destinations too at LCY. They use 2 wet leased Eastern Airways' Saab 2000 already on other routes which would be suitable for the ANR to LCY route.

But I think it will be another airline (personal feeling)

A well-kept secret. That's unusual because normally there should already be some leaks :)

For those who wonder if VLM (SHS Aviation) will or will not take over ANR-LCY from Cityjet, I suggest them to have a look at the Belgian register:
http://www.mobilit.fgov.be:7081/bcaa/ai ... search.jsf
(languages are NL FR EN)
Just go to the box "Aanvrager / Détenteur / Holder", and fill in there: SHS.

That doesn't say that VLM will effectively take over the ANR-LCY route. It just says that 7 F50s are registered to SHS...

So hopefully more news tomorrow, Friday, as its the end of the week. ;)
If its VLM we might have to wait until the end of October for a pressconference.

Well, I can't imagine BA, Flybe, BMI Regional or Powdair would wait this long to put these flights on sale.

A spokesman for VLM confirmed to Aviation24.be that VLM is effectively one of the candidates, but till now there is no formal decision nor announcement.

However, the VLM winter programme will be announced soon.

Stay tuned!

To be honest, if it is not VLM, i dont see any other operators doing this. Flybe perhaps. Ba cityflyer certainly not. There needs be stability in EBAW.
