To pick up some pax stranded in DKR? A request from a VIP? No catering available in ABJ?

She went straight after departure towards DKR heading NW after take-off instead of the standard northerly course towards Ouaga.

Screenshot 2017-07-05 08.24.35.png

Landed DKR at 23:45z and took-off again at 01:05 so a turnaround of less than one hour.
Anybody the reason for this?
Though FR24 shows "diverted" to DKR and Flightstats also gives an STD of 06:05 in BRU with actual at 08:25, Brussels Airport web site does not report the flight.

H.A.
As I suspected: passengers stranded in DKR because a DKR-BRU flight was abruptly cancelled last Sunday. Long wait for those passengers :( :

And not what you expect of a 'full service' airline of SN! Just shows that shit happens, no matter which type of airline you might be.

Birdstrike in Conakry, before returning back to Brussels via Dakar. Plane unable to leave Conakry. I think it happened Sunday or Monday

Then it was probably a birdstrike for OO-SFM?

A Lufthansa pilot who was grounded when he turned 65 lost his age-discrimination fight at the EU’s top court, which said its legislation imposing the limit is justified for safety reasons.

Six years ago, on 8th July 2011, a Hewa Bora Boeing 727-100 (9Q-COP) flight EO-952 Kinshasa (N'djili) to Kisangani (Bangoka) crashed just before landing. From the 118 people on board (112+6), 75 died.

Shocking update: Radio Okapi now reports that till today, none of the survivors or the relatives from the victims have received an indemnity. Despite the then-claim from Stavros Papaionnou (then owner Hewa Bora) that the aircraft was insured with Prices Forbes.

A strange story: surely the baggage holds are not pressurised? That can should have exploded!

Baggage holds are pressurized.
They sometimes transport dogs in the holds as well 😉

Not only that, but the pressure those cans are designed to withstand far exceeds the maximum pressure differential you would get when unpressurised at cruise level.

True, but they wouldn't serve it after a pressurisation failure :) the cans would still be intact, though.
