Hats are no longer provided to KLM pilots.

There was a safety incident at AMS Amsterdam Schiphol Airport, apparently a discussion between two men in the Starbucks coffeeshop at Schiphol Plaza. One of the men had a knife; the Marechaussee (Dutch national Police) was alerted, and they had to shot him in the leg.

AMS was evacuated for a shortwhile, and the train station (underneath Schiphol Plaza) was used as kind of getaway.

The airport is open again.

bmi can confirm that today at approximately 11.36am, flight BM1822 from Frankfurt to Bristol had an incident at Bristol Airport. All 22 passengers and three crew aboard the Embraer 145 jet disembarked safely with no reported injuries. Emergency services attended as a precaution.

He should ask LOT for reimbursement of the hotel costs at Tallinn, based upon the legal principle "potje breken = potje betalen". Everyone is responsible for the damage he/she causes. If VdV has legal assistance (Insurance), they will gladly do this for him.

KLM And KLM Cityhoppers pilots don't like the removal of captains hats from their uniforms:
https://petities.nl/petitions/de-pet-mo ... ?locale=nl

KLM says that the captains hat "has no added value anymore".
