See my previous post:
It will be a B757-200 based in BTS (Bratislava) starting on 16 October and flying BTS-CRL-DKR and v.v.

Hi everybody,

To complete the previous replies, I just found this on CH-Aviation :

Air Slovakia (GM/Bratislava) will start operating a weekly B757-200 flight on behalf of Senegal Airways (Dakar) between Brussels Charleroi and Dakar later this month.

Air Slovakia has recently acquired a second B757-200,
so one of these will fly for Senegal Airways.

I can't believe an airport like CRL gets bigger and bigger.

Well, that's indeed good news to see a new airline taking place in an airport; good news also for spotters : nice to see a new type of aircraft (I think it will be the first regular flights operated from CRL with B757).

Maybe this will contribute to bring new jobs in the airport area :?: . It will probably also bring new protest :x from people who bought cheap houses around the airport and are disturbed by the noise (they should live near an international airport ! ). But that's another story...

Hi
From various source, it seems that the CRL/DKR flight is now becoming a charter flight operated for package tours (and also sold as seat flight only) ATEX web site open on" promotion page" on package tours
From a contact I got in other side it's confirmed that flight will start the 16 but saying "if we have problem with slovak 757 we shall use an other aircraft" (info from a passager who already purchased flight )
We are not yet on a new airlines, the web site of the compagny still with a "waiting page" !!!
Wait and see

So, the first flight today was cancelled. Passengers get a telephone call on friday that the aircraft was in Paris. Senegal Airways picked up the people in CRL for a bus trip to the French capital. There was a delay, but I don't know how much.

hi
Yes I dont think this "new" airlines will start soon !
The passengers of the 9th flight flew on SN from BRU !!!
The passengers of the 16th flight flew on V7!from ORY!!
The passengers of 23rd flight dont know yet !!!! I know a futur passenger who becomes upset with the present situation
In fact we ore now not in front of an airlines but a sort of inclusive tour flight and Atex will fly passangers where space will be available!
Wait and see but certainly more wait than see
I have a list of african airlines starting or few flights or never, its very easy to create a paper airlines in africa and result is as with Sénégal Airways..

VTM news-coverage: http://www.vtm.be/asx/vtmnieuws/vtmnieuwslaat_Za.asx

as from minute 9:33

Senegal Airways didn't have the correct documents to operate the aircraft. The Belgian Civil Aviation Authorities rejected the license for Senegal Airways to fly charters between Charleroi and Dakar.

Thanks for the link, Michel.

So it seems again that Belgian aviation authorities are hindering an interesting project.

This country decidedly seems to be against aviation!

VTM (Flemish television) was at CRL last weekend, and they filmed the clients leaving for Paris ... by coach. Clients coming back from Paris weren't happy at all. Seems there was no flight at all, and Senegal Airways has booked some clients onto other carriers.

Seems both the plane and the general manager are now missing...

Although, missing ... according to VTM, the plane doens't exist.

The whole operation seems to be a scam and Sénégal Airways is about to file for bankruptcy.
