The reduction is seasonal, SU18 should be back to 5x weekly.
But if BOM stay 6X in SU18 and YYZ go back to 5X it will makes 2 extra rotation, does it mean an 11th A330 could be coming?
If BOM goes to 6x weekly, and YYZ returns to 5x weekly (as it is this summer?), there is 1 extra rotation next summer. For the winter there is probably capacity as IAD is summer only. Anyway, good news!
Was YYZ also 3x weekly in Winter 2016-2017?

I guess it was 4 times a week !
But SN said it was better than expected in summer and worse than expected in winter ! Speaking about lf.

Concerning Hainan, I checked up their website and had a look to the offer on both PEK and SHA flights from/to BRU.

From next winter season, Hainan will fly daily from BRU to both PEK and SHA. Not yet two HU birds the same day at the same time this winter. From next summer season well on friday -2-4567 (PEK).

BRU - PEK : HU 492 : From 12:20 To 05:20+1 : Days -2-4-67 (flight time : 10 hours).
BRU - SHA : HU 7922 : From 11:30 To 05:30+1 : Days 1-3-5-- (flight time : 11 hours).
PEK - BRU : HU 491 : From 01:45 To 05:45 : Days -2-4-67 (flight time : 11 hours).
SHA - BRU : HU 7921 : From 01:25 To 06:30 : Days 1-3-5-- (flight time : 12 hours 05 minutes).
Hainan will start the Shanghai Pu Dong-Brussels route on 25 October with a 787-9, but as soon as 29 October it will revert to a 787-8.

But good for BRU as it's an increase in capacity!

Seems the market is very strong for our Middle East carriers (Etihad, Emirates, Qatar)

Wonder which version of the 773 they'll send, they still have a 9 abreast eco version but they also have 2 10-abreast eco versions. Anyway, the A359 is a nice upgrade in comfort compared to the 788.

Brussels Airlines will serve Entebbe daily, from December 2017. The sunday flight to Bujumbura will be now operated via Entebbe instead of via Kigali.

Kigali will be still served 6 times a week. The sunday flight is replaced by the friday flight. Interesting, now all RwandAir flights to Brussels will be operated the same day that Brussels Airlines. SN doesn't operate flight on Friday

brussels airlines in winter 2017/18 season plans to adjust service to East Africa, including Bujumbura, Entebbe and Kigali. With this service changes, the Star Alliance member will increase Entebbe service from 5 to 7 weekly.

All service operated by A330-200/-300 aircraft.

But what will be dropped then. Also Mumbai will get an additional flight (+1), the daily flight to East_Africa is also an increase as compared to the previous winter season (+2) ...
Or will SN get a new A330 for the winter season?
I thought that the new A330's start coming in (at least some of them) in Summer 2018. But that would only allow adding flights for Summer 2018 ...
Maybe one of the Air Berlin planes might be attributed to SN (if correct that they were already bought by LH, see airliners.net) - see also Thomas Cook topic ...

Washington flight is discontinued during winter; and other flights might see a decrease in frequency, like Toronto (?), Accra (?), Kinshasa (?)..., since they will need to send their A330s to heavy maintenance like every winter I suppose.

They already do that for some triangular flights that keep the same number for the 3 legs (469 and 471; 241 and 243). I suppose this is in order to avoid confusion in case there is a delay, when the flight is operated on successive days; otherwise you could have the same flight number for a delayed return and for the following outgoing flight.

I was down there on Friday and heard the good news.
The reversed triangle means the SN crew will again overnight in Kampala instead of Kigali.
But probably not anymore at the Speke Resort :(
