Funny, that restriction: no local traffic from KGL to KGL :)
Trying to avoid some avgeeks?

With Addis Abeba, Tokyo, Dubai, Kigali as long haul flights during the evening with a lot of transfer pax, it is maybe not a bad idea to have a bigger long haul wave during the evening.
I think about SN and UA who can benefit from it with opening an evening flight to New York and Houston.
In the past, the New York flight of Sabena with departure time at 19.50 LTD was always full bcs it was the last New York flight in Europe. It was full of transit pax or passengers who lost their flight in an other European country.

So, transatlantic can be. But what about Africa flights for SN in the evening? We see Addis Abeba and Kigali already in the evening. Why not other ones for SN in the evening?

It could be also attractive for other *alliance long haul partners to start BRU flights when they see this kind of flexibility.

Hi all,

I just read on 'luchtvaartnieuws' that the UA flight between Newark and Birmingham will be suspended from 5th October onwards. Is there a chance they will use the aircraft for an additional flight to Brussels?

I just found out on the Ryanair website that the airline will start flying from Brussels Airport to Venice Marco Polo as from 4 October 2017 (instead of, or in addition to Treviso ?)

Hi all.
Concerning Hainan, I checked up their website and had a look to the offer on both PEK and SHA flights from/to BRU.

From next winter season, Hainan will fly daily from BRU to both PEK and SHA. Not yet two HU birds the same day at the same time this winter. From next summer season well on friday -2-4567 (PEK).

BRU - PEK : HU 492 : From 12:20 To 05:20+1 : Days -2-4-67 (flight time : 10 hours).
BRU - SHA : HU 7922 : From 11:30 To 05:30+1 : Days 1-3-5-- (flight time : 11 hours).
PEK - BRU : HU 491 : From 01:45 To 05:45 : Days -2-4-67 (flight time : 11 hours).
SHA - BRU : HU 7921 : From 01:25 To 06:30 : Days 1-3-5-- (flight time : 12 hours 05 minutes).
Cheers

As widely expected, confirming previous rumours, Brussels Airlines increases frequency to Mumbai, from 5 to 6 flights per week. The additional flight is on Saturdays (return on Sundays).

So much for SN replacing 9W on BOM-BRU-YYZ. 9W was flying daily, SN will only fly 3x weekly. And I am not even sure that there will be connections in BRU on those three days...

9W left Brussels for a reason. (Probably not because it was making a lot of money)
The reduction is seasonal, SU18 should be back to 5x weekly.

But if BOM stay 6X in SU18 and YYZ go back to 5X it will makes 2 extra rotation, does it mean an 11th A330 could be coming?

SN flight to IAD was seasonal too. Will it be discontinued again this winter?
