Recieved this a few days ago:

"Please note following new cargo airline operating into Brussels :

Aero-Charter Ukraine ( UCR / DW )

Full cargo flights as from 15sep04 to/from KBP ( Kiev )

Full handling BGS"

Didn't noticed them yet.

If this is the case, I hope that they are not owned, in part or in full, by the Ukrainian government. Else, they could be impounded exactly the same way as the ADB plane.

This is a nice new visitor for BRU. As they don't use only their own planes but also planes from Motor Sich and Podilia Avia.

I don't think they will risk to get impounded as the price for a AN26 is to low. Maybe the AN74 but as far as I know they are not state owned.

Yvo

Normally with the An-26, perhaps they come from time to time with the An-74

Illustrating my previous post, below you find the planes Aero Charter sometimes uses for their flights:

Scheduled flights from Brussels (BRU) to NEW YORK NEWARK (EWR)
Flightnumber Days Dep. Arr. Type Validity
CO061 ------7 09:35 11:50 764 3110-3110
CO061 1234567 10:30 12:30 764 0404-3010

Scheduled flights from NEW YORK NEWARK (EWR) to Brussels (BRU)
Flightnumber Days Dep. Arr. Type Validity
CO060 -----6- 19:00 07:15 764 3010-3010
CO060 1234567 19:00 08:15 764 0404-2910
On 30/10 and 31/10 CO will do an extra Newark flight according the BIAC timetables. The flightcodes are the same as the general codes. The aircraft is also a B764. Will this flight become an extra flight a day?

Hi Dave,

What exactly do you mean?

If I look at the dates, I don't see the additional flight...

Strange.
Normally when they are doing a second flight on the same day they are not allowed to take the same flightnumber.

What normally is done in those cases, is put a 4th number: 9060, or the 3 numbers + a letter : 060A/F/P

Like Frederic already said, there is no additional flight.

What you see is the arrival and departure times valid until Saturday 30 October, the other arrival and departure times are only valid for Sunday October 31st. During that weekend we will change from the daylight-saving time to the winter-time, that explains why that particular Sunday is listed differently. We only see one Sunday (in the winter-time) in the timetable right now as we will also switch from the summer timetable to the winter timetable.

The UCR flight schedule to Kiev looks similar to the Aviastar flight schedule to Moscow, i.e. late evening arrivals in BRU and early morning departures ex BRU. I believe that the Aviastar operations were in some kind of cooperation with DHL. Perhaps somebody from DHL/EAT can confirm whether the UCR operations are also in cooperation with DHL.

Thanks

World Airways expanded its contract with Menlo Worldwide to provide DC-10-30F service between Dayton and Los Angeles through the end of 2004 and MD-11F service between Dayton and Hong Kong in Oct. and Nov. Value of the additional service is estimated at $3 million. Also, World's current five weekly MD-11F flights between Dayton and Brussels for Menlo will be changed to DC-10-30F service with the same schedule.

Hopefully these are not night flights. Else, look for a revolution from airport neighbours...

Indeed

They asked to change equipment but never said to which type :frantic:

Let's hope they'll be able to come without too much problems coming from the people living in the surroundings of the airport :?

Although the MD-11F was the regular aircraft type on the Dayton-flight last summer season, I've seen the DC-10F several times (landing or parked at the DHL-apron).

If I'm informed correctly, the Dayton-flight arrives around 20:00 (so no night flight).

Regards, Robin Bamps.
