Nobody seems to have noticed that Air Dolomiti discontinued its 11x weekly Verona-Brussels-Verona operations? So may I conclude that there are hardly any romantics out there? The home of Romeo & Juliette is certainly worth a visit.

Verona may well be a potential new destination for SN Brussels Airlines, to fill the gap left by Air Dolomiti. Lets say 3 flights a week to begin with, which is already a +- 50% capacity cut in comparison with the Air Dolomiti operations.

If only SN Brussels Airlines would be an innovative airline ...

Not only have EN discontinued their flights between VRN and BRU, they also stopped operating some of the 7 daily LH services between BRU and MUC (at least, I don't see any of their aircraft anymore at BRU; especially Augsburg Airways and Eurowings (both to MUC and FRA) have an increased presence).

Augsburg Airways, Contact Air (as usual between BRU and HAJ/NUE/STR) and Eurowings will be operating quite some flights between Brussels and Germany this winter.

I'm not sure whether the changes in cargo operations have already been analysed on this site. :?:

http://www.biac.be/cargo_tt/index.cfm?lang=en

Apparently during the winter season SQC will operate 13 weekly flights (USA-)BRU-SIN and 3 weekly flights SIN-BRU(-SIN).

I believe BKK to be a new destination for SQC out of BRU.

Cargo flights from Brussels (BRU) to BANGKOK DON MUANG INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (BKK)
Flightnumber Days Dep. Arr. Type Validity
SQ7359 -2----- 22:00 18:10 74Y 0211-2203

Also BOM is probably a new destination for SQC out of BRU. Hopefully it won't hurt BR too much, having to share the BRU-BOM market with SCQ.

Cargo flights from Brussels (BRU) to BOMBAY (BOM)
Flightnumber Days Dep. Arr. Type Validity
SQ7977 ------7 07:55 20:30 74Y 3110-2003

SQ7879 ---4--- 22:10 11:05 74Y 0411-2403

Where on earth is Hindustan? Obviously it must be a booming, industrial town with a multimillion population somewhere in India.

Cargo flights from Brussels (BRU) to HINDUSTAN AIRPORT (BLR)
Flightnumber Days Dep. Arr. Type Validity
SQ7881 -----6- 22:00 11:20 74Y 0611-2603
SQ7359 -2----- 22:00 11:20 74Y 0211-2203

It looks like the SV B747 will be back at BRU as from the middle of December. I thought it was stated previously that SV would extend their operations at OST for another 6 months. :!:

Cargo flights from Brussels (BRU) to GEORGE BUSH INTERCONTINENTAL AIRPORT (IAH)

MK apparently upgraded the BRU-FIH operations from DC8 to 747 on both flights.

It looks like KE stopped their (ANC-)JFK-BRU route.

Interesting to see that both KE and BR have 3 weekly connections between VIE and BRU.

Summarising from other topics here on luchtzak:

Mostly rumours though:

*
Aero Flight might start a link to FRA from mid December on with A320.
* Ethiopian Cargo moves from OST to BRU in January
* Club Air/6C will fly daily from Brussels to Bari / Parma and Verona from March 2005. An inside rumour says they might start from end January on.
* The Exel group might expand in BRU (2 737's or not?)
* Hainan Airlines is considering to start a direct link between Beijing/Peking and Brussels. Choice is between Zurich and Brussels.
* And of course from our beloved topic: Rumours of SN to EDI twice daily with ARJ85

Seems BRU won't stop growing in 2005! (hopefully  ) I do hope that the number of transfer pax will rise again instead of fall as it did this year!

Thanks to all contributors on Luchtzak for this information!

Pieter
