... if they may start. Apparently (see Luchtzak latest news), there is a dogfight between Virgin Atlantic and Cathay Pacific: the latter claims that VS did not receive the authorisation from European authorities to start the flights, although tickets are already on saleAvro wrote:It's nice to see Virgin Atlantic also starting the route from LHR to SYD

Not be forgotten:
Qantas will discontinue all its flight from Paris CDG to SYD from Winter schedules on.
The AF/QF code-share applies on SIN-CDG flights.

It ould be a good idea to paint that BAe in Qantas colours. Spotters will then be able to spot a Qantas BAe in EuropeSabena_690 wrote: QF wants to go 5x daily to LHR... they are currently leasing a BAe146-200 of Flightline to operate a twice daily service between MAN and LHR (a feeder service).

As far as the new VS serice is concerned, tix are already on sale now, and they are priced slightly cheaper than those of CX and QF.

Great news for both of them but honestly, the timing for QF (SYD-HKG) is not good at all.
Excellent Planning on going to Australia within the next 6 month's and will definitely opt for Virgin Atlantic. I've never been on an A340-600, can't wait.
It's also going to be good for the consumer as this will mean further competition and most likely a price war as VS will probably be running promotions on it's new route. It's time the fares to Australia are further reduced as for the last couple of years as there hasn't been that much change in price.
