Not one airline has until now accepted to pay the fines. Why would Jetairfly be the first one?

From 27 October Jetairfly will fly from Eindhoven to Nador (Morocco) twice a week (Mondays and Fridays) with a Boeing 737-700. As a reminder, Jetairfly also flies from Rotterdam to Tangier.

Jetairfly cancels its weekly flight to Mombasa. The last one was on 12 august.

This flight was usually operated by Arke from AMS with an intermediate stop in BRU.

Contrary to what they say at Jetairfly, there is no such thing as a 29,99 fare - the cheapest flight is priced at 44,99 euros, the unavoidable "administrative fee" included.
Ryanair and easyJet have dropped those added fees, but other still use it : at Vueling, it's 5 euros "management charge"; Jetairfly, at 15 euros, have about the highest.
A Jetairfly ticket at 29,99 euros ? A whopping lie !

49 return, or 75 or 85 EUR baggage included! Still a very good deal. And from Antwrerp! One saves 20 EUR transport return pp by bus to BRU and more by train..

not true, Easyjet has this fee, 15€ that can be spread if you book more than one flight but it is still there no matter what, although hidden in the fare.
That said, I really think Jetairfly should drop this fee, it's too high.

Today Jetairfly's OO-JAU arrived at Brussels Airport with the new Split Scimitar winglets installed. The aircraft came from Bacau, Romania where the installation and maintenance took place and it is the second aircraft in the fleet with these winglets.

Jetairfly's 787 OO-JDL, which had to go unexpectedly under maintenance recently, has been photographed with a new rudder by one at 38,000 feet of our contrail spotters:

EasyJet doesn't have this surcharge.
I seem to remember that in the past Ryanair has been condemned because of such a surcharge : the advertised price must be the final price.
I have a good mind to ask the Minister of Economic Affairs what they think of it. If Jetairfly has the right to do that, good for them; if not, too bad for them, they'll have to change.

When there are non avoidable surcharges (airport taxes, administrative fee), they must be shown at first sight. Economic Affairs however has agreed that airlines use a different method for fixed surcharges per person (ex. airport taxes) and for variable surcharges per person (ex. administrative fee per booking).

In newspaper adverts, billboards, online banners on their own website, ...: fixed surcharges per person must be included (example: airport tax). Variable surcharges don't have to be included, but the airline must refer that they exist. Example Malaga 29 € (*) -> with somewhere else in the advert (*) booking costs apply, see website for conditions (or "click here for details").

For booking tools in websites, the non-avoidable surcharges per booking must be shown after the first click in the booking tool. Some airlines only do this after click two or three, once the number of passengers is selected (because only then the amount of the administrative fee p/p is known). Economic Affairs probably disagrees, but as long as the fees are not shown in the very last step "and now pay" they allow it.

We could discuss WHY airlines apply these administrative fees, but that's too much off topic I guess.

You are probably right, but I'll ask all the same, and we'll see.
Those Jetairfly administratives fees are of 15 euros for most destinations, 30 euros (thirty !) for a few others but ... 0 for the United States ! Evidence that they can dispense with them.

IF IT AIN'T BOEING, I'M NOT GOING.

I wonder what happened to this rudder. Delamination or manufacturing defect? Hangar mishap, ground collision?

OO-JAA on its way to Canada! How many winter leases from JAF will go to Canada this year? And which aircraft will go over there?
